All I can say is, thank goodness I got my child-rearing out of the way when I did: I got my kids their phones in 9th and 7th grade, because that’s when they were available (and we had enough money to afford them). They both managed their teen years without the world being mad over social media. So there’s a degree to which I now observe this from a greater distance and it doesn’t feel so threatening. Still … I’m curious. What’s the one best article to read for an oldie like me? The Atlantic piece?
